Art. The elimination of the unnecessary.
Of the things I have learnt in 20 years making Art, Music, Writing, the one that has so far had the most profound impact for me has been understanding how to simplify.

It has been said by many that it takes much longer to write a short letter than a long one, and the skill of recognising somethings essence and distilling it down to its purest and clearest form has allowed me to create work that moves and feels. It has made me understand what I am doing on a deeper lever and thus create the work with more intention and emotion.

When I put the time into deciphering the vital parts of something and eliminating everything else, the feedback I have gotten has been far more focused on the ideas rather than superfluous and superficial elements that are fogging its windows.
